Lisa is a a licensed Educational Psychologist and licensed ADHD Coach and lecturer in Bar Ilan University.

She is a pioneer of ADHD Coaching in Israel and has been at the forefront of developing executive function coaching as an alternative to therapy specifically for individuals with challenges in planning, prioritizing and emotional regulation.

Lisa was introduced to the field by the founder of ADHD coaching, Nancy Ratey, in 1996. Prior to that, she worked as a school psychologist in mental health centers in Fort Walton Beach, Sacramento, and Phoenix. She moved to Israel in 1979 and worked in the School Psychological Services for 25 years.

Currently, she has a private practice and teaches ADHD  Coaching and Parent Coaching in the Department of Continuing Education of Bar Ilan University. Lisa has trained over 500 coaches in the principles of ADD/ADHD coaching with a focus on Executive Functions.

Lisa supports individuals who would like to improve their executive functioning – the ability to focus on tasks and achieve goals without being distracted.  At the core of her model, מוח אית”ן (Strong Brain), is the concept of neuroplasticity. We can rewire and strengthen our brain at any age with practical self coaching strategies in the following areas:

  • Planning
  • Prioritizing
  • Creating routines
  • Overcoming procrastination
  • Regulating emotions and impulsivity
  • Communicating assertively
  • Managing addictions
  • Sustaining motivation and effort

Lisa uses an integrative approach that includes CBT, DBT, EFT and mindfulness to help her clients to develop an inner coach who can utilize positive self talk to create a vision of the future and sustain motivation to achieve short term and long term goals.

Her clients include teens, young adults, adults, college students, and parents of children with ADHD and ODD.

Executive function coaching begins with creating a profile of EF skills including the ability to envision the future, manage time, sustain motivation, regulate emotions and distractions, inhibit impulsive behaviors, think flexibly, and  learn from mistakes.

Following the evaluation, Lisa teaches clients how to improve areas of relative weakness by practicing strategies between coaching sessions until new habits are internalized and the client has developed his own brain coach.
